The PlayCase is a fantastic way to make playing your retro games on iPhone much more comfortable, this is the closest my phone has ever felt to a gameboy! With how dedicated Buppin is to this project I am very proud to be a supporter!

I always have my phone on me. And they say the best device to game on is the one thats always with you. I lost my original gameboy in a house fire and since they brought emulation to iOS I’ve been enjoying replaying the games I enjoyed in my childhood. Playcase makes playing emulators on my phone more enjoyable by giving your phone that game boy feel. A lot of people say just get a telescopic controller or use your PlayStation or Xbox controller you already have. But that takes away from the experience in my opinion.

So far, I’ve really enjoyed this case. Anytime I get a break at work, I flip over the face plate and play all the games I used to play as a child. I find it more entertaining than the games offered in the App Store. I’d also like to add that the customer service is very helpful and prompt, whenever I had any questions. At this point, I couldn’t see myself without this case on my phone.

PlayCase has made gaming far more accessible for me. As a busy dad with limited free time, I craved the short, satisfying bursts of classic handheld games instead of marathon sessions. A retro handheld worked, but it was one more device to charge and carry. With PlayCase on my phone I can slip in retro gaming anytime, whether commuting or waiting around, turning idle moments into play instead of doom scrolling.

As a lifelong fan of the GBA since childhood this iPhone case/controller has spark the memories from my childhood. I can remember the hours spent playing games and see the same enthusiasm in my own son as he is playing his Nintendo switch. This product is more than a controller but a way for me to reconnect with gaming and share that with my son.

I just received my order today and wanted to say I love it. It feels great to play all my old GBC, GBA, and SNES games on the go with my phone!

    About the Project

PlayCase started with a simple goal I’ve had since the iPhone came out in 2007: make an iPhone case that can transform your phone into a Game Boy.

This isn’t a big startup or a polished factory operation. It’s just me: designing, 3D printing, testing, breaking things, fixing them, and slowly turning an idea I’ve carried for years into something you can actually hold.

Thanks for being here — your support is literally what makes this project possible.
